Configure SMTP mail client on Centos

vim /etc/sysconfig/sendmail

modify line DAEMON=yes to DAEMON=no

save and close.


vim /etc/mail/submit.cf

modify line D{MTAhost}[127.0.0.1] to D{MTAhost}[your.smtp.ip.address]

restart sendmail service service sendmail restart

try send the email.
